Page 3 of 4 Testing:
For this portion of the review I am going to be trying a few different things. I will start by connecting these great looking, touch screen speakers to my computer and playing some music and then I am going to watch some videos, after that I am going to setup the Genius SW-T2.1 1800 Speakers in my bed room and connecting my mp3 player to them to see what kind of sound I get from the line in function. When I connected the Genius SW-T2.1 1800 Speakers to my computer, I found that they had some decent sound quality. While listening to some music I found that they definitely could produce some good base and sounded quite impressive with all of the genres I listened to. The music that I was playing sounded beautifully clear, and loud. When it came to sheer volume I have to say that the Genius SW-T2.1 1800 Speakers can really pump out the sound. With the volume maxed right out on the speakers and on my system I found that the sound was still clear and that none of the music hit that “ceiling” where the sound starts to sound like crap. With the videos that I had watched I found that the sound was nice and clear. At first I had the speakers right next to each other and it sounded fine, but as soon as I moved them apart I found that it sounded far superior then my previous configuration. With more causal videos I found that the sound was more then antiquate and sounded great. However with more action oriented videos I found that, even though it still sounded good, these little 2.1 speakers just didn’t have the right sound that does a good action movie justice, but still most desktop speakers I have used don’t have the ability to do this so really I still think that they did a good job. When I finally got around to connecting my mp3 player to the speakers I have to say that I was moderately impressed. Not all speakers have this option and it made it nice and simple by providing the necessary cables for you. Unfortunately I found that the sound quality from the mp3 player wasn’t as good as the sound from my computer, this however easily could have more to do with the mp3 player itself then it could with the speakers. Let’s move on to my final thoughts:
