Looking to be a competitor with other lower cost cases, BitFenix released the Shinobi, a mid-tower case that brings a bit of sleekness and elegance to the table. It comes in two options the non-windowed version and the windowed version. With room for an additional 5 fan mounts plus the 2 it comes with, as well as the 7 expansion slots the Shinobi looks like it will be able to rise to the challenge of being a competitor. On that note let's take a closer look at this chassis from BitFenix to see how it stacks up against the rest.

Conclusion:
The Shinobi from BitFenix comes out of the gates looking strong. Packing with it 2 pre-installed 120mm fans, a tool-less design and complete solid steel construction making it a solid build. Add with that the spacious room behind the motherboard tray, good wire placements, good cable routing holes and you have an easy installation and clean looking interior after assembly. To top it off the edges and front of the case also have got the Softtouch scratch/stain-resistant treatment giving it a rubbery touch. With a simple styling the Shinobi provides a modern look which is neither pronounced or understated. The few main complaints to be found with the Shinobi would have to be the GPU cooling being affected due to the lack of air flow in this area of the case and the fact that there are no usb 3.0 ports. For a $79 case though the Shinobi from BitFenix is sure to be a contender.
Would I recommend it? Yes. With the easy assembly, a clean looking interior and exterior, and room for decent sized components at $79, the Shinobi is a case I would recommend.
Pros:
- Tool-less design
- Quiet
- Good cable management
- Softtouch coating
- Sleek exterior
- Roomy interior
Cons:
- GPU cooling
- No usb 3.0 ports
