This should come as no surprise as the nano’s color options, size, and relatively low price range make it a very accessible product. This small update bring some major game changers for the iPod Nano, but will they be enough to warrant an update from recent up-graders? Let’s find out.

Conclusions:

Ultimately, the iPod Nano is a charming little piece of equipment. It continues the iPod legacy while adding some key new features to it’s arsenal. It does everything it says it will do in a well executed manner. Video quality left a bit to be desired and the fact that you can not shoot stills it still very disappointing. Another sad fact is that the pedometer is described as “wonky” at best.

This is a great product that any gadget and tech enthusiast would love to have, even if they just bought the last iteration of the nano. Casual consumers may be a bit more wary on their decision of wether or not to upgrade. Many people who want a pocketable camcorder probably already have one and even though the Nano’s camera isn’t the best it sure is the smallest. In the end each person will have to make their own decision. Save money, or have the hippest gadgets. This reviewer chose the latter.

Pros
    •    New finish makes colors look great!
    •    16GB Model is cheaper than last time around
    •    Camera is just enough for average user
    •    Retains same, slim form factor

Cons
    •    No 32 GB size like I expected
    •    Pedometer is a bit faulty
    •    Good unit, but really not that different when compared to last years
