It’s easy to get lost in the sea of infinite Piano and Piano Lite applications available on the apple app store. Many of these piano apps attempt to bring the real piano experience to the user but often fail miserably. The fact of the matter is that no company will bring a “complete piano experience” to the iPhone. Voice Keyboard doesn’t attempt to do that, rather it attempts to create a fun music experience. And it accomplishes just that.

Conclusion:
Voice keyboard is an app for casual fun rather than a serious piano player. Though one can play some piano on it with the piano sample where the true fun lies is in using your own samples and other included ones. Everything from DJ Scratch to Organ is included in this app which thankfully give it lot’s of replay value. My main complaint was that since the samples where either slowed down or sped up depending on which key you hit the timing wasn’t even on all keys. The “timeshift” feautr remedies that but an average user won’t realize that until many uses. Ultimatley the best way to describe this app is just solid fun, not a serious app. Depending on what you’re looking for that could be a good or bad thing.
Pros
- Most simultaneously displayed keys seen in piano App
- Ability to record your own sounds gives flexibility
- Good quality pre-loaded samples
- Not intended for serious piano-players
- Some samples veer on the creepy side
- Lower register keys play longer, higher register plays shorter
