Testing: For testing of the Vuzix iWear AV310 Widescreen Headset Display I used them for several days in order to get a feel for them and get used to their unique design. I will be marking the Vuzix on an out of 10 basis the criteria will be picture quality, isolation, comfort, and sound quality. Picture Quality:
I tried several movies with a lot of special effect and scenery obvious choices were Starwars and Indiana Jones Crystal Skull due to there abundance of different scenes and special effects. I must say even thought the Vuzix iWear AV310 Widescreen Headset Display is not HD it was an extremely impressive picture quality they achieved for that reason they received: 9/10
Isolation: Isolation is very important when it comes to something you will be wearing in order to avoid the bustle of what’s going on around you in a plain or bus to work. Because you can see above and below the Vuzix iWear AV310 Widescreen Headset Display it is very difficult to focus on the movie one accessory I strongly suggest investing in is the Vuzix immersive eyeshield which cane be purchase for $14.95. If you are in a dark room by yourself the isolation experience is amazing but this is not what we are striving for so for this reason they received the fallowing score for isolation: 6.5/10
Comfort: Next to picture quality comfort is arguably the second most important feature of a device like this. I notice while wearing the Vuzix’s for an extended period of time the weight on the nose piece got to bee a bit taxing. While laying back a bit I noticed the strain much less noticeable but this may be something to keep in mind for yourself if you have a particularly low tolerance for discomfort. For these reasons the Vuzix’s received: 7/10
Sound Quality:
Although the range on the Vuzix iWear AV310 Widescreen Headset Display was pretty good the earbuds never frapped or hissed so the sound was pretty clean. There was a down side though, the earbuds didn’t go as loud as I would have liked they needed just a little more power and they would have been great. The Vuzix’s received the fallowing score for Sound Quality: 8 /10 Let's check out the final thoughts:
