Testing:

For this reviewI am over course utilizing my laptop with the cooler plugged into the USB.  For ergonomics this NotePal X1 does create a comfortable typing position.  It is holding the laptop steady and no slipping is evident.  There are only grooves on the top of the Cooler Master NotePal X1 and I have rubber feet on this laptop.  If you were to set a smaller laptop or one with out rubber feet you may notice some difference.  This is a 15” cooler so is not for note books but laptops and it is great for mine.  I have been testing my laptop with and without the Cooler Master NotePal X1 and noting the temperatures on SpeedFan.

High CPU load:

Temperatures:
Off the Cooler Master NotePal X1  On the Cooler Master NotePal X1 at Full RPM
HDD  31C  HDD  31C
Temp 1  30C  Temp 1  30C
Core  47C  Core  44C

Low CPU load:

Temperatures:
Off the Cooler Master NotePal X1 On the NotPal Cooler Master NotePal X1 at Full RPM
HDD  31C  HDD  31C
Temp 1  30C  Temp 1  30C
Core  38C  Core  34C

Conclusion:

Fine product with ergonomic design, it is practical and stylish.  I appreciate the silent or low rpm mode for those times you need to be quiet.  When you crank it up to 1500rpm you can definitely hear the fan running but it is not a nuisance.  The temperature decrease is noticeable and it cools the CPU to a save range.  I would recommend this product to anyone without hesitation.

Pros:

• Comfortable on the lap
• Quiet
• Stylish
• Extra USB and power on off if you rather not have the fan running

Cons:

• Nothing to mention
