Conclusion: Overall this is a good enclosure. Its plastic construction is a positive and negative at the same time. It is positive because it is lightweight but negative because it lacks a certain rugged feel. The only other thing that I thought could use some improvement is that there is no room at all in the enclosure for any anti-shock padding. The drive is forced to sit right atop the hard plastic of the case. Again, this is a minor consideration, but those little details sometimes save your HDD from failure. These were the only two things I did not personally like about the enclosure. It was very easy to open and close and installing the drive went smoothly. Don’t rush that step, it could be costly. The included software was easy to learn and did its job very well, and of course the extra USB ports always come in handy. Would I buy this product? Yes, I would. It is a good enclosure with a fair amount of bonus features pre-loaded onto it. In my opinion this practice speaks volumes about how a manufacturer feels about their prospective customers. That little bit extra that CP Technologies has put into making this enclosure more than just another electronic brick, shows in the extras they’ve added. I appreciated it and I’m sure you will too.
