Conclusion: How did it do? Very well, is the simple answer. From the tests we can see that it lacks nothing in performance, matching the other enclosures in most areas and surpassing them in others. Also of note was the fact that the plastic bodies of the other enclosures really didn’t inspire confidence that they would survive a drop. While I’m not recommending dropping the L-Series on the concrete, its solid feel and aluminum construction make a much more durable product. Would I buy this? In a heartbeat. It’s small enough to be truly portable, but it’s not flimsy feeling. It manages to look good without compromising on performance. I also thought that the aluminum was a good choice of material due to its light weight and heat conductive properties. Cooler enclosure equals longer drive life. Installing the drive for the first time was also easy, two screws to remove and the enclosure is open. Overall I was very impressed with this product. There wasn’t anything that I personally didn’t like about it. Pros:
