The Eagle Arion ET-AR502-BK 2.1 Speakers are very well built.  The wood grain finish will complement just about any desktop or entertainment center.  While small in size, the 3-inch speakers produce crisp clean sounds.  These pure sounds can be attributed to the high quality MDF used in their construction.  No plastic here my friends!  So many of our inexpensive speaker systems are made from particleboard and plastic.  Some with enclosures much larger than the actual speakers they contain.

The Sub-Woofer:

The 4-inch bottom-facing sub-woofer on the Arion ET-AR502-BK produces deep smooth bass without the rattle you sometimes get with other small systems. Again this can be attributed to the MDF case.  This compact unit will fit in the smallest space and still fill your room with just enough bass to fill your room but not bring down the neighbors wrath upon you!

The front mounted volume and bass control are easy to access unless you place it under a desk like I do. An external volume control would be a nice addition.
