Testing Setup:

  • Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q9450
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6
  • Memory: Patriot PC 8500 2 x 2GB
  • Video Card: Asus EAH 4830
  • Power Supply: In Win 850W Commander Series
  • Hard Drive: Seagate 750GB SATA
  • Optical Drive: LG DVD
  • OS: Windows Vista Ultimate
  • Thermaltake armor

Testing:

Testing will consist of 3 parts the first will be using a power supply tester not hooked up to a pc, the second test will consist of idle PC voltages and the third will be of load (achieved by burn in benchmarking software) voltages. These will be regulated by onboard motherboard sensors. The 2 PSU’s going head to head will be the In Win 850W and the Kingwin 1000W power supplys.

The onboard sensors are always a little off but your can easily see that there are no major fluctuations in power output other then the +12v rail which has always been a bit off as far as the sensors capabilities go. The In Win performed very well and it is definitely a more then capable power supply let’s get straight into the final thoughts:
