We have a well-sculpted device here in the KingWin F-35 External Enclosure.  The shiny black ABS case looks like it wants to just take off.  Looked at head-on this unit reminds me of a futuristic vehicle waiting to get the green light.

Lets start by taking a look at the packaging.

There is not a lot of information on the front of the box, but there is a great picture of the KingWin F-35 External Enclosure.  We can also see one of the two 50mm fans that should keep any hard drive you install nice and cool.

As you can see the KingWin F-35 External Enclosure gives a respectable

Though the KingWin F-35 External Enclosure doesn’t perform quite as well
as a similar enclosure, the times are still respectable.

Conclusion.

Conclusion:

The KingWin F-35 External Enclosure is a nice enclosure to keep on your desk.  Its sleek appearance will enhance any desk area.  I don’t know that I could recommend this item for portable use.  The ABS housing may not hold up to much abuse.  For those of you looking for an inexpensive hard drive enclosure with a futuristic look, check out the KingWin F-35 External Enclosure.

Pros:
  • Great capacity
  • Easy to install
  • Easy to set up
  • Great eye candy for your desk
Cons:
  • Lost the little screw that closes up the enclosure.  Spent half an hour to find it.  Would be nice to see it secured in the housing.
  • Instructions say to secure the hard drive using a screw.  Unless you have an extra hard drive screw lying around, you’re out of luck.  They don’t include one.
