Overclockershq review of Mionix 1800 Saiph gaming mouse. Macro functions, dpi adjustablility and colour coordination with each dpi setting. This is what our simple computer mouse has advanced too. There are whole worlds out there in gaming, with so many activities in each, you need an advanced mouse. I played some of these 1st person games and role playing games without the aid of an advanced mouse. I could not believe the joy it brought me the first time I tried this new breed of gaming mouse. There is more... Check out my enjoyable review of this piece of hardware.

To begin I browsed the internet, checked email and did some simple drawings in paint. I wanted to test the common usages of this new mouse. Most likely you will leave
this mouse installed at all times. Comparing it to my common department store mouse, well, it does not compare less for a few basic functions. The colour activates on my wheel when I move my regular mouse. That is about all it has in common with the Mionix Saiph 1800. Feel and sensitivity are somthing else on the Mionix Saiph 1800. The dpi settings are useful for more than gaming. While drawing in paint the multiple dpi adjustments come in handy. As do the macro setting for the five buttons come in handy for browsing the net or using photo shop. The side buttons are back and forward on the Explorer browser. They are many setting you choose for other software. As well I have a redish tint wood desk which has been a problem for some mouse's laser eye. Not an issue for the Mionix Saiph 1800. Super touchy when you want it and slow when you need.
Let me break it down.
Overall use and comparison:
It is a well rounded peice of hardware. Superior to a standard mouse in many ways. You may not believe it is worth the investment until you try it. Smooth operating always accurate, and advanced settings. These
are a few of the advantages over your normal mouse. It is usable for Mac and Linux but only in the basic functions. I did even compare with the Mionix 3200. There was some appreciable difference as the 3200 has more dpi settings and weight adjustments.
Both are clean looking and user friendly. Rating out of 10, 10 being wonderful.

Here is where your main concern is when purchasing a gaming mouse. Using the Mionix Saiph 1800 in game mode. First 5 programmable buttons, this is ideal for most games. Adjustable dpi of course a must
and what is super cool on this mouse. The colours change on the wheel with each dpi setting. Up and down the range with the two button below the scroll wheel. Somewhat difficult to hit in fast action games. You usually don't require this adjustment during fast action gameplay just to change between sequences. Such as getting into a vehicle or scrolling around a map etc. Hence I was very happy with this function.
Two side buttons for your thumb to toggle, all was ergonomic and realatively comfortable. I do appreciate the 3200 being a tad wider. Not a flaw in the 1800 just a preference for bigger hands. Leads us in to comfort.

Yes this Mionix Saiph 1800 is ergonimic so it is usefull for even office use. I said I enjoyed even basic functions with this mouse. Browsing and word processing, everything is better with a better tool. This is more than just a gaming mouse it is a piece of hardware. I can certainly apprectiate the finish as well. The rubberized grip is handy and it feels like you have stepped up a few notches in your mouse. All in all you will thoroughly enjoy this product.

I have had a number of computer mouse (mice). Some of you will agree a bad mouse is really really irritating. A good mouse is like your best friend. It is an important tool and not one to purchase in haste. I will say to you I did really enjoy this mouse. User friendly and as comfortable as they come. The design is not dissimilar from other gaming mouse. It is relatively wide and the texture is superior to many. It does have advantages over others in this league. Oh and the colour coded dpi settings on the scrolling wheel.. well you can't go wrong with that.
Would I recommend this mouse? For a certanty. I would tell my best buddy to buy this mouse for his gaming. I mean if you are a gammer you will love it. If you want a super nice mouse for every day use. You can find a good one for less money. Having said that, I might even buy a mouse like this for every day use. It is really cool and comfortable. It is like your favourite pair of shoes, in a mouse.
