We chat with Derek Paxton, lead producer and designer on Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, to get the skinny on this upcoming expansion. It's no secret that Elemental: War of Magic, a fantasy turn-based strategy game from developer Stardock, had a bit of a rocky launch. What was an otherwise solid strategy game was plagued by numerous bugs and a problematic user interface. Its first expansion, Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, is aiming to expand on what made the original great while making some substantial changes. We caught up with Derek Paxton, lead producer and designer on Fallen Enchantress. Paxton discussed how the game is coming along with us and he also explained how Fallen Enchantress won't make the same mistakes as its predecessor. Game Spot Previews

Here are a few big changes and additions for all you aspiring athletic directors out there. Whether your favorite team is a powerhouse like Alabama or a scrappy underdog like Northeast Wyoming Automotive and Dental Sciences Institute, everyone wants to see their alma mater achieve glory on the gridiron. Those who want to take that desire a step further are probably the ones most interested in NCAA Football's Dynasty mode, which lets you take control of your team and dictate its fate for years into the future through a number of strategic choices. As they do with every iteration of the game, the folks at EA Tiburon are making a number of changes and tweaks to this mode for 2011. Here are some of the more interesting changes in store for this year's installment: Game Spot Previews

We discover Bastion's teeth as we play a new level in the upcoming action role-playing game. Supergiant Games' upcoming Bastion reminds us of The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. On the surface, the game has a winning charm, but look closer and you'll find some big teeth that will take your head off--which is something we actually like about it. We came to this realization after spending some time with the game at a recent Warner Bros. Interactive pre-E3 press event at which a new level was playable. Game Spot Previews

We go hands-on with the competitive online portion of the latest Transformers game. The latest Transformers game asks a very serious question: What happens when one group of giant robots gets super-angry at another group of giant robots, and they start fighting each other all over the world? It's a question you can let the game answer for you in the story mode, but if you'd rather take things into your own hands, you can answer that question for yourself in this third-person shooter's competitive multiplayer mode. We got to play the first three levels of Child of Eden, compare Kinect and standard controls, and stick four vibrating controllers in our pockets. We're now tantalisingly close to the release of Ubisoft's Child of Eden, and if you're in London on 27-29 May, you can see and play the game at GameSpot UK's stage at the MCM Expo. To celebrate, we got to play the game's first three levels in the luxury of our London office's epic surround-sound setup. While we may have played the game quite a bit at various stages through development, this session let us compare the Kinect and standard controller experience, as well as try out something creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi suggested himself--that we get our vibe on by putting four standard controllers in our pockets. We learn more about our destiny in this pre-E3 demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. There's a lot to be excited about when it comes to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, especially when there's an impressive amount of talent behind the project. Key members on the team include Ken Rolston, who was the lead designer on the third and fourth Elder Scrolls games; best-selling author R.A. Salvatore, who is penning the lore; and Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn, who is handling the artwork. And, of course, you have Curt Schilling, Major League Baseball pitcher, who founded the studio and brought the dream team together. At a pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo event in Los Angeles, we were able to revisit Amalur and get some hands-on time with the game. Game Spot Previews
