Overclocking is when you take your cpu and increase the frequency of it in order to get better performance from your PC. The side effect of overclocking is heat so you need good coolers in order to disipate the heat caused by overclocking so you do not wreck your components.

Think of it like saving money by buying a cheaper processor and then overclocking it to equal the performance of a much more expensive one. You generally need to use a better CPU cooler to accomplish this though.

when you run a computer component or equipment at a higher clock rate than it was originally designed for then its overclocking.... whereas Cooling removes the heat generated by these computer component........so that these components keep working within their operating temperature..
