http://i2.ytimg.com/vi/Mzp-IboG12A/2.jpgLaptops are great, allowing us to take them nearly anywhere; any room in your home, the bus, airports. But their compact builds and heavy workloads make over heating common meaning not only is your laptop suffering but your thighs are burned and your wrists are at risk for carpel tunnel from the odd angles they're put in. Not only are you hurting yourself but your laptop and your work. CPU and video chips have become more compact generating extra heat that can lead to your laptop shutting down without warning or memory errors. These problems can be long term and expensive forcing you to replace parts like motherboards or graphic cards. Loss of work and injury has caused a lot of problems, thankfully there are alternatives that can fix these such as the Cooler Master ErgoStand.

Conclusion:

This cooling system is an excellent alternative to the pillows and magazines that are usually reached for to avoid burns. The Ergostand is barely larger than your laptop and much lighter making it easy to take with you where ever you need to go. The single fan is practically silent, perfect for students studying in libraries.

Not only does the ErgoStand work well but it's design is slick and very easy to adjust to the six different angles even when your laptop is on it. The four grips holding on to your laptop doesn't let it slip in the slightest, even when it's on a forty-five degree angle, and the four on the very bottom keep your computer where it needs to be. The cable clips also keep your workspace tidy of free wires.

I would definitely recommend the ErgoStand not only because it keeps you and your laptop safe from overheating and your wrists relaxed but because the four extra USB plug ins are beyond helpful. Also, this product works for not only nine inch netbooks but seventeen inch laptops.

Pros:

  • Light weight
  • Take anywhere dimensions
  • Adjustable fan speeds
  • Barely any noise
  • Easy to use
  • Attractive and sturdy design
  • Four extra USB ports
  • Cable clips

Cons:

  • None
