Hits smaller text tool iconmedium text tool iconlarger text tool icon promised you tablets.  I lied.  I became so caught up in some incredible products today that I completely neglected to look into tablets. Today was wall-to-wall people looking for that special item.  Reminds me of Target on Christmas Eve!  Everywhere you turned, everywhere you looked were people from all points of the globe.  Scattered in and amongst those people were some small unassuming booths with some incredible innovative products that are just out on the market or soon to be.  I’ve highlighted 3 of those small, soon to be large, companies here for you.

First off let’s take a look at xi3!  Take 3 decks of playing cards and stack them on top of one another.  You now have a good rendition of what appears to the smallest desktop in existence!  For those of you who need measurements this device is 4”x3.656”x3.656”.  Inside this incredibly small box is a full size AMD 64 x2 processor, 2gb of ram, DVI and HDMI output, and a host of other features.   Connect 10 cubes together via USB cables and you have a very power full system!  Add-on hard drives for more storage, and other modules allow you to run up to 5 users from one xi3’s. xi3 can be found in South Hall 2 at booth 26527 and at

Ever worried about losing your laptop data while at the local coffee shop?  Someone drops their Grande Latte on your keyboard and fries your system?  Well DHK Storage has the ultimate solution.  Two 2.5 drives in a single raid configuration mirrors your data on both drives and keeps you backed up.  The Popdrive weighs about a pound and can fit in your pocket.  It connects via eSATA or USB 2.0.  (A USB3.0 version is being hinted at).  DHK can be found in South Hall 4 at booth 35256, and at
BOOMPHONES!  The worlds first convertible HI-Fi Headset with Integrated External BOOMbox Functionality!  Here is a small company with a very BIG sound.  Boomphones headsets have a little switch on the side that activates a bass booster for very large sound.  Another button on the outside of the headphones will turn them into a powerful set of speakers.  Because they are internally powered, you can easily connect them to your iPad, iPhone, or other mp3 player and be the center of the party.  Boomphones can be found in the South Hall 1 at booth 22062 and at

The day ended at a party thrown by Patriot, Intel, and MSI.  What a wild crowd of people.  31 stories above the city of Las Vegas in a room with an incredible view, several hundred people gathered for fun, drinks, dancing, and of course a drawing for products!  Among other things, Intel gave away one of their brand new i7 Sandy Bridge processors for the new socket 1155 motherboards.  Which of course, MSI gave away 3 of and Patriot gave away a couple memory packs, their new Supersonic USB 3.0 Flash Drive, AND one of their wickedly fast SSD drives! Congratulations to all who won these fantastic products! Lucky dogs.
