We decided (with big help from iFrogz) to do a review on 5 sets of headphones at once. Due to the fact that we have already reviewed 2 of these headphones in the past we will be focusing on the iFrogz products for the majority of this review. Let’s get a good look at the contenders:

Testing:

For testing I decided to go with a range of earbuds. I tested the iFrogz against the V-Moda Vibe ii’s and the Head Direct RE0’s. Out of all of the earbuds I have tested these two are by far my top two favourites so the iFrogz have got some serious competition. I will be rating the iFrogz on the quality of their sound as well as the price point. Considering the V-modas are $120 and the RE0’s are $170 they iFrogz have a fighting chance for getting bonus points for bang for your buck options.

Conclusion:

So as mentioned the winner was the timbre’s fallowed by the Crews and limping in at thrid place were the Reflex. I was very impressed over all with the new line of buds from iFrogz; I was especially impressed with the Crews because they were the cheapest of all the buds and for their price performed better than any “cheap” earbuds I have ever used. The bass was so impressive that they are my new earbuds for when I am working etc. The nice thing about them is I can break them 8 times to equal the cost of a pair of V-modas and even better they don’t feel cheap either. iFrogz has another winning line up of earbuds and I suggest anyone who is interested should check them out.

Would I recommend these buds for starters I would say yes if you have a smart phone to the timbres over the Reflex but if you are just looking for a decent earbud for sports or around the house grab the Crew’s, either way is win, win. Happy Listening!

Pros:

  • Price (all)
  • Style (all)
  • Bass (Timbre and Crew)
  • Loud (Crew and Timbre)

Cons:

  • Reflex were a little quiet
  • I would like to see the Timbre and Reflex with gold Plated connectors.
Crew (just for the amazing price to quality ratio):
Timbre (all around great bud):
Reflex (great mic decent bud but compared to the rest doesn’t stand up as well to the other iFrogz products we have tested):
