Levelone 300 Mbps Wireless N USB Dongle Review
Wireless G was an amazing step forward for wireless technology then came super G which was even more impressive. Being able to send data at the same rate as your wired 10/100 hard wire was something most people never thought possible when the first iterations of wireless technology came into play. While we aren’t seeing home users reaching the 1 Gbps mark just yet the addition of Wireless N technology to our wireless repertoire has made the loss of a hard wired connection a little more bearable. Levelone has graced us with the pleasure of trying their new 300 Mbps Wireless N USB Dongle the WUA-0605. Let’s have a look and see how she performs:

In order to test the Levelone WUA-0605 I decided to go into my basement with the router on the main floor and focus just on connectivity to the router rather than throughput. I tested the Levelone WUA-0605 against the TEW-624UB from TRENDNET. Here re the results:
Levelone WUA-0605: 72Mbps at 5 Bars
TEW-624UB: 130Mbps 4 Bars
Although the TRENDNET was able to get a higher bit rate the signal quality was not the same as the Levelone Also the deck may have been stacked in the TRENDNETS favor because I used a TRENDNET wireless N router to test the two. Either way you put it the Levelone did a great job. I have used it for over a week and have not noticed any issues in regaurd to drop outs or drastic signal losses other then the standard ones cause by my ISP.
Levelone and CPTech have always made quality products and anytime I have had any issues their troubleshooting team have been there to assist me. This products much like their others is of top quality and the perfect size.
Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you want a little more gain but want to sacrifice size then I would Say go for the TRENDNET, but when it comes to quality and portability all in one package the Levelone Reighns supreme. It is a much slimmer choice than the TRENDNET and its connectivity didn’t suffer much in comparison.
