Quality gaming pc chassis usually run at a premium, making it difficult for our poor minimum wage gamers out there to bridge the gap between sleek sexy gaming rig and emachine hell. Thermaltake has been known to toss our financially challenged friends a bone; this year’s model is the new V3 Black Edition Gamer Chassis, and this case in nothing to shake a stick at. It sports all the features people love in more expensive models but maintains a sub $50 price tag making it a much nicer choice then your typical “super case” white box for $35. Ponying up the little extra, gets you ten times the case of yesteryear. Let’s get a good look at the Thermaltake V3 Black edition and judge for yourself if this case is worth half your McDonalds wage for the day.

Testing and Conclusion:
Being that this case has only one exhaust fan testing its ability to cool would be pretty pointless. Essentially for me the important things are features and this Case has plenty my two favourites in this case are the black interior, and the bottom mount PSU. These two features alone make the decision between a faceless oem case and a V3 Black edition. Removeable filters and access to the back of the motherboard are both extreme points in the V3’s column as well.
Normally I am not a huge fan for the bottom end cases but the V3 has a lot of the features that made the Cooler Master Scout such a big hit with gamers but comes in a major price reduction. If you are looking for a PC chassis with some excellent features with a great price point than in my opinion as of right now the V3 is by far the best choice for its price range.
Pros:
- Price
- Black Interior
- Bottom Mount PSU
- Tool Less
- Fits a Full Sized Rad
- Window for new Internal Water Coolers
- Access to the Back of the Motherboard
Cons:
- Stock With Only 1 Fan
