NZXT Premium Cooling Fan Round Up

Keeping our computers cool seems to be a never-ending job. As our systems get faster and smaller, they generate more heat. That heat has to be removed somehow. Today we take a look at 3 of NZXT’s Performance cooling fans. NZXT has provided us with a 200mm, a 140mm, and a 120mm fan. We will be checking these units out and compare them against the specifications of the fans in my current case. These are some heavy-duty fans and I expect them to hold up well to the completion. Lets take a look at these fans.

Lets start off with a look at the packaging for the three fans. The packaging lets you see what your buying and has all the specs on the back.

Here is a good look at the 120mm and the 140mm fans. With their 9 blades they promise to move quite a lot of air. The sleeved cable and 3-pin connector are nice additions also. There is also a 3-pin to Molex adapter if you need it.

The 200mm sports 11 blades. This monster will move a lot of air very quickly. As with the other two, the cable is sleeved and it has a 3-pin connector.

Ah!  The NZXT 200mm Professional Fan!  If your case can accept one of these monsters, put it in!  The NZXT 200mm fan is much faster than the Antec BigBoy and moves 32 CFM more air.  The noise is a little higher, but when you hit that 30dBA and higher mark, noise is noise.  You probably wont be able to tell the difference.

Well folks, I would say that the NZXT Professional series fans are a force to be reckoned with.  The match up well with the Antec fans I compared them with and like all fans have their good and not good qualities.  These are great fans for a basic install where you’re more concerned about cooling than a little extra noise.  The 140mm is a definite winner!  Those of you that like you LED fans will be a bit disappointed though.  These don’t have them.
