Intec Silicone Skins Xbox 360 Controller Skin Review

If there is one thing that is for sure is that games love comfort. Gamers also like bargains and one thing that peripheral designers like Intec have is inexpensive accessories. I have used a number of different skins and controllers in the past there isn’t a lot that blows my mind these days, one thing I will say is if a controller skin provides comfort and helps with sweaty palmage then I will give it a try.

The intec silicone controller skin is going to try and step up to the plate, let’s see what it has to offer light and hardcore gamers alike.

Closer Look:

The packaging is pretty basic, it is nice and clean and not cheap looking like some bargain accessory makers. You can clearly see what you are getting which is nice cause sometimes with the cheaper stuff you are taking a chance.

The overall design of the packaging is aesthetically pleasing, with nice graphics, and quality slogans. For instance, the packaging says “they fit like a glove and perform like a race car” I have definitely heard cheesier lines.

Well, we saw the packaging let’s have a look at what you get and what it looks like on your controller.

Closer Look: (The Controller Skin)

It is always a nice bonus to get more than one skin and that’s just what you get with the Intec Silicone Xbox 360 Controller Skin Set. No one has ever complained about 2 for one.

The skin fits very well on the controller I didn’t have any issues or breakage. The controller skin feels vaguely like a balloon, So I can kinda see what it is as inexpensive as it is. It does however feel neat once it is on the controller.

Testing:

In order to get a feel for the controller, I will be doing 2 one hour stints. I will do one hour with both a regular controller and one with the Intec comfort grip skin. The first game I will be playing is Earth Defense Force it combines a nice bit of button mashing and 3rd person shooting both of which can make your hands scream after a while. After I will be testing the controller with Need For Speed Carbon. The reason I chose a car game is due to the slogan “fits like a glove, and performs like a race car” let’s see if it actually does perform better.

Earth Defense Force:

I must say the Intec skin did feel comfortable I was very impressed at how much it did in fact. The rubber skin made me think of stress balls you can buy from pharmacies and it was actually nice on the hands It made the game more enjoyable to play for a longer period of time.

Need For Speed Carbon:

Again the Intec Xbox 360 Controller Skin felt better, the game seemed a bit smoother to play, and my wrist didn’t hurt after playing for an hour. It was better in a lot of ways compared to the regular controller. I do have to say I was a bit annoyed when I felt the corner of the skin in the triggers once in a while but a little glue fixed the problem. That’s how committed I am to these skins I super glued them to the controller.
